There are nearly six million carers in the UK - and three million of them juggle care with work. In Scotland, 250,000 carers juggle care with work.
As a working carer, you may be unable to share you caring experiences at work because you feel that you will be seen as less able to do your paid job. With the right support you can do both.
Carers Scotland believes that a carer in employment should be encouraged and supported to remain at work for as long as possible, or as long as they choose.
Download the leaflets below for further information or visit the ACE National website for additional leaflets and further information.
This leaflet will offer support available, options if you are thinking of leaving work or returning to work and case studies from carers who juggle work and care.
This leaflet is designed to help employers think about the needs of employees who are carers, and to adapt and develop workplace policies and practices to support them.
