The course will commence at 10:00am (tea/coffee available from 09:45am) and will finish at 4:00pm.
The cost for this one day course is £90 - voluntary sector, £120 - statutory sector, £120 - commercial sector. These costs include a light lunch.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with an understanding of the Adults with Incapacity Act 2000, the background to it, and the mechanisms introduced by the Act to enable intervention to ensure the welfare of an adult with incapacity and help with managing finances.
Upon completion of the course the participant will be able to:
Suitable for advisers, carers' workers, social workers, care managers and health services staff. This course is aimed at those providing information to carers of adults who have an incapacity, which affects their ability to make decisions about their own welfare including financial, medical and general welfare issues.
