The training has been designed to assist health, social work and voluntary sector practitioners develop the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct culturally competent assessments.

Carers give so much to society yet as a consequence of caring, they experience ill health, poverty and discrimination. BME carers are especially vulnerable to the latter.

This training will support those staff engaging, and yet to engage with the BME community by  providing the following:

The training is designed to take place over one full day and is designed to be as participative as possible.  Free learning materials for participants will be provided as part of the session.
