  • Adults with Incapacity Act 2000
    The Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 (AWIA) sets out the system for protecting the welfare of adults who are unable to take decisions for themselves.
  • Community Care & Health Act 2002

  • Mental Health Act 2003
    The Mental Health (Care & Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 was passed by the Scottish Parliament in March 2003 and came into full effect from October 2005.
