Spotlight on telecare

Telecare is a technology based system designed to help older people and those with long term needs, remain safe within their own homes, and support carers. The sensors automatically alert a 24 hour response centre or carer if there is a problem in the home, such as flooding or a gas leak.

The sensors can also pick up if the person has a problem, such as:

Falling and unable to summon help
Walking about outside the home and endangering themselves.
