Who we are…

Carers UK is an organisation of carers, working to improve carers’ lives. Our mission is to make sure carers are recognised for their contribution to society and they get the practical, financial and emotional support they need.  Membership of Carers UK is open to any organisation which is interested in improving the lives of carers. We have over 500 member organisations, like yours, sharing their ideas and experiences with Carers UK.

Who joins Carers UK?

• Carers' centres and carers' organisations
• Local branches of national organisations such as Alzheimer’s Society, Crossroads, Mencap
• Local authorities and Primary Care Trusts - from policy officers to front line staff
• Employers - from large companies such as BT to small businesses so they can support employees with caring responsibilities
• Carers groups run by carers for carers such as a group of parents of disabled children or people looking after a relative or friend with mental health needs
• Trade unions - working to support their members with caring responsibilities
  

How much does associate membership cost?

Associate membership is offered at two levels depending on the how much information you would like to receive.
Level 1 -  £40    (one copy of each publication)
Level 2 -  £100  (5 copies of Caring magazine and 2 copies of all other publications)
